International Basic Education Caucus Renewed With the start of the 119th Congress, the International Basic Education Caucus has been renewed in the House of Representatives. Entering its 10th year, this bipartisan group of policymakers supports efforts to strengthen U.S. engagement in basic education around the world. Led by Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA-1) and Rep. Mike Quigley (D-IL-5) the caucus has been instrumental in leading initiatives that spotlight the importance of U.S. investments in international basic education programs. GCE-US is working closely with the caucus as it actively seeks out new members and develops its annual Dear Colleague letter, supporting at least $970 million in the Basic Education account, including funding for the Global Partnership for Education and Education Cannot Wait. | |
